Handmade jewelry and charms with a sentimental heart

It all started with a simple girls’ night out. We went to a local bead shop for an evening of wine and jewelry making. I was fascinated by the colors, textures and endless possibilities. I have always been drawn to natural rocks and semi-precious stones. Swapping my paint palette for one of beads, pearls and rhinestones, I began creating unique wearable pieces of art. I also like to incorporate vintage costume jewelry, giving it another chance to sparkle but with a contemporary look.

The bead people came later. I adored the teacup fairy at MoonDreams on our first visit to Cooperstown in 1994. Putting my own spin on the idea, I began making different characters from wire and matching them to the colors of collected teacups. In addition to fairies, I have created witches, devils, superheroes and storybook characters to wear around the neck or happily reside in a teacup.
